Internal service charges

This topic covers the general policy for internal service provision at Macquarie .

A review of the University internal charging policy is presently under way.

During 1993, the Vice-Chancellor established a Working Party to investigate procedures and policies relating to charging for internal work done by Offices within the University. At the present the following central offices have some form of charging out procedures.

Inter-Library Loans 
On-line Searching
Office of Computing Services Telephones
Communication and Technical Services
Office of the Vice-Chancellor Audio Visual Technical Services
Design and Visual Production (DVP)
Registrar and Vice Principal Testamurs
Printing (including COE)

Student name and address list labels
Applicant Testing (Career Development Office)

There is no formal policy covering the charging out of services and all of the procedures surrounding the above services have been developed on an ad hoc basis.
